The birth of our son Fraser on 31st August 2006 was the start of a whole new life. Our blog charts the ins and outs of our changing lives.

Action Man
Fraser's progress is coming on in leaps and bounds and more recently, he has become increasingly independent, wanting to explore and climb at every opportunity.Tonight he was in the thick of it 'helping' me to plumb in Granny and Grandad's new washing machine!!
He is also a very contented wee man, always ready to smile.
Twice weekly visits to playgroup with Granny Murray seem to be doing him the world of good and he is blethering away non-stop most of the time, albeit it mostly nonsense........a bit like his Dad.

Wheeeeeee.......
After a nasty dose of the trots and stuff, which he has managed to smit to all of us, Fraser is getting back to his usual form again.
On Saturday, as part of an ongoing early morning weekend tour of Greater Glasgow parks, we visited Drumpelier Country Park and Alexandra Park for some serious leaf scrunching.......at 7.30am!

Moving Out

Sadly, tomorrow we leave The Counting House after three and a half happy years in our apartment. However, our new house is not quite water tight yet (ours is the one with lots of scaffolding and no roof) so we're moving in with Lorraine's parents for a few months until No 2 is habitable.
Fraser has already made himself comfortable at Granny and Grandad Murray's and seems to been unphased by the upheaval of moving home.

Timeout
Life has been hectic and the wheels are finally in motion for our big move. The next few months will see us all staying with Granny & Grandad Murray whilst our house building programme is completed. To date, crucial elements including walls and roof are still missing!
Fraser has been great although yet more big teeth are causing the odd grumpy day. He's pelting along at full throttle and is very much enjoying exploring and empyting the cupboards.

Happy First Birthday on 31st August

Happy First Birthday Fraser
Our little man is one year old today.
It's been such an amazing year having watched Fraser grow from a tiny little baby into a happy wee boy. We've had so many wonderful times and can't wait to spend the forthcoming year enjoying each moment on his odyssey of discovery.
Mummy and Daddy love you so much. xxx

Up and Running
Fraser has been toddling about with a helping hand for the past 6 to 8 weeks but the last three days have seen things take, quite literally, a massive step forward. Click on the link below to see him in action.

At Last
At long last Mummy and Daddy have found us a new house. They've been dragging me round other peoples houses since......since I was a bean!
A few weeks ago we visited Granny & Grandad C for a holiday in Keith and my girlie cousins Bethany and Rachel smothered me in kisses for a whole day.
Helped Granny hang out the washing!!

Bath-time
Fraser can now get about crawling and staggering with a fair degree of agility, regularly climbing onto the sofas and edging his way round the kitchen units. Whenever he gets the chance he makes a break for it to try and make an attempt on the stairs.
He loves his new found independence and always seems to want to shake off any supporting hand and go it alone.
Bathtime is a highlight for all of us and the wee chap seems to be very much at home in the tub.

Musical Genes
Fraser continues to be a contented wee chap. This month has seen yet another tooth added to the nibbling collection and he is a lot more mobile now, crawling/dragging/shuffling across the floor with a toothy grin every waking minute of the day, battering his xylophone (whenever he's not trying to eat it).
His voracious appetite never seems to be satisfied and to date, he has pretty much eaten everything we've put in front of him.

Piccolino
We've just returned from our first proper family holiday having spent 8 days in a tiny little town called Oria in the Puglia region of Italy. Fraser loved the trip and seemed to thrive on the attention showered upon him by the friendly locals. His first visit to the beach was great fun and he didn't waste any time getting stuck in to eating the sand.......as well as digging and rolling around.......whilst covered in suncream.
During the course of the week, in addition to the two teeth he had when we departed Scotland, another five appeared and he immediately got to grips with nibbling everything and everyone.
I'll upload some more holiday snaps to flickr over the coming weeks.

All Better
Fraser had a nasty bug which laid him up for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, he is now fully recovered and a big toothy smile has returned. The last few days he's been so contented and happy. Today, Lorraine and I took him swimming and he splashed around in fits of giggles.

Finding My Feet
It's all happening. Last week I got two little teeth and this week I can't stop nibbling my feet.....or anything I can lay my hands on. I'm almost able to sit up on my own, but sometimes get quite wobbly.I've got a horrible cold just now so my poor wee nose is constantly dribbling but I'm being a good boy and sleep through the night........mostly!
I'm quite a big chap now at 71cm long and weigh in at a stonking 22lb 1oz.

Happy New Year
A Happy New Year to all our friends and family. We had a wonderful family Christmas with both sets of grandparents visiting. On 6th Jan 2007 Fraser had his first taste of solid food and seems to be really thriving on his grub. However, he has recently become a little too nocturnal for our liking and loves nothing better than to bang about in his cot in the small hours.
He loves having a blether and seems to be very content to babble non stop.
